Help Us, Help San Diego

The Community Service Day Fair will benefit a dozen charities committed to making San Diego a better place to live.  You can read about the different charities below, or click on their logos to visit their websites.

	We are collecting arts and craft supplies for Rady Children’s Hospital.  They go through more than 1,400 packs of crayons a year and need our help to give kids fun activities while they are sick.  Check out their request list here.
	The Community Resource Center feeds many San Diego families in need.  They are particularly in need of donations in the summer time.  What extras can you donate? Check out their request list here.
	Bring your old electronics to the CSD Fair from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and Electronic Disposal Group will dispose of them for you.  It’s better for the environment and it’s free!  Check out their list of recyclable items here.
	Keep your child safe by bringing them to the CSD Fair and letting Child ID Services provide them with a free ID and finger prints.
	Help the Interfaith Community Center make substantial changes in the lives of local homeless people and save them from crisis. Check out their request list here.
	Many people with life threatening illnesses can only be saved by a stem cell transplant.  Sign up to give blood at one of the American Red Cross bloodmobiles that will be at the CSD Fair.
	Learn about proper pet care and animal safety from the experts at the Helen Woodward Animal Center.  They will have a tent with lives animals your children will love.  Bring canned pet food donations to help starving animals.
	Sadly, many children at shelters don’t have the luxury of owning pajamas.  Bring pajama donations to the CSD Fair for Leez PJ’s 4 Kids to give out to local children in need.
	Sign up to pack food for local children and the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.  The Family & Friends Community Connections is setting up an assembly line at the CSD Fair and we need all the man power we can get!  Follow this link to sign up.
	Get rid of your old files and paper work at the CSD Fair.  The Shredders will be set up from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and will shred up to two file boxes of material per visitor at no cost!
